National Geographic Latin America will broadcast eight episodes about Peru's culture and history tonight in prime time at 8:00 p.m. (Peruvian time), Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Magali Silva announced on Friday.

A couple of months ago, National Geographic contacted Peru's Foreign Trade and Tourism Ministry (Mincetur) to address this initiative, given the diversity of landscapes and gastronomic products Peru has to offer.

These programs are dedicated to the national gastronomy, culture, art, cinema, textiles, fashion, and seek to portray the impact posed by Peruvian young designers.
Another episode will be centred on the capital city, Lima, elected as Latin America's main destination for international conventions.
